Undertaking the roofing project for Padel Zenter Scalo Farini in Milan means linking our name to one of Europe's most prestigious and high-profile sports developments. Founded by legendary champion Zlatan Ibrahimović alongside entrepreneur Thomas Sandström, the Padel Zenter brand represents absolute excellence, luxury, and high performance.
This urban padel hub is located within a fully regenerated former railway yard in the heart of Milan. For this exclusive club, designed to redefine indoor padel standards, we were commissioned to design, manufacture, and install a majestic engineering enclosure that seamlessly combines striking architectural design with international-level technical requirements.
The Engineering Challenge: A Giant Enclosure
The project involved the design and installation of a massive roofing structure spanning approximately 4,000 square meters. The load-bearing framework, made entirely of hot-dip galvanized steel, features 26 impressive truss arches calculated to guarantee absolute stability and structural strength.
The structure is completed by an innovative double-ventilated membrane system (a 700 g/m² outer membrane and a 500 g/m² inner membrane, both made of PVC-coated polyester fabric featuring high UV stability, anti-mold treatment, and fire certification). This technology ensures perfect thermal and acoustic insulation along with controlled ventilation.
Furthermore, to meet the strict clear-height demands of professional players, the structure provides exceptional indoor clearance with ceilings reaching 12 meters (well above the standard 10.5 meters), removing any aerial obstacles for the highest lobs.
