We are proud to present our work at the Tennis Club Arbedo-Castione in Switzerland, a project that involved the complete supply and installation of a state-of-the-art tensile structure, including supporting steel arches, to cover an existing synthetic grass tennis court.
The Swiss climate, with its frequent rainfall and widely varying temperatures, required a solution that would ensure maximum usability of the court throughout the year, protecting it from the elements and extending its lifespan. The challenge was to integrate a modern and functional structure without altering the harmony of the surrounding landscape.
To meet these needs, we supplied and installed not only the fabric, but the entire framework of the tensile structure. This is composed of solid steel arches, which support its form and stability. Designed to withstand environmental stresses, these arches are the heart of the structure, ensuring the correct tension of the fabric, which is fundamental for its effectiveness and durability over time. The use of steel guarantees robustness, corrosion resistance, and a long lifespan, minimizing the need for maintenance.
The choice for the covering fell on a triple membrane fabric. This triple-layer configuration offers superior thermal insulation and greater resistance to tearing and bad weather compared to traditional fabrics. Furthermore, the triple membrane helps to create a more comfortable internal environment, reducing heat dispersion in winter and limiting solar radiation in summer, thus ensuring optimal playing conditions in every season.
The overall design of the tensile structure, which includes both the steel arches and the fabric, was carefully studied to ensure complete and effective coverage of the tennis court, while preserving the feeling of playing outdoors thanks to its lightweight structure and ample diffusion of natural light. The choice of materials and installation techniques ensured perfect integration with the existing environment, enhancing the sports area.
This project is an example of our ability to provide high-quality, turnkey solutions for covering sports areas, combining technological innovation, functionality, and attention to design. The Tennis Club Arbedo-Castione can now count on a state-of-the-art structure that will allow its members to enjoy the tennis court in all weather conditions.
